Like DevOps, only with Bunnies. They hop.

About BunhOps

Hey there, I'm Alex, and I'm a Cyber Security student.

I am a 23 year old woman from '00. Born and raised in Flanders, Belgium, I speak Dutch (native), French and English fluently while learning Italian and Korean on the side.

Although I don't leave the country a lot, I do enjoy traveling. My favourite destinations are Italy, more specifically Firenze (Florence) and Marrakesh, Morocco. My favourite kind of holidays are ones that involve a lot of cultural visits and good food ;D

The inspiration behind BunhOps came naturally; I was interested in DevOps, and my online friends called me BunBun based off my username. When looking for a "brand" name I was trying to incorporate a pun, and here we are!

The navigation bar is based off of CLI, to at least incorporate some of the nerdy aspect into this otherwise cutesy layout.

The lovely logo was designed by Blazing Rabbit Arts upon commission. I saw her drawings at comic con and her art style was exactly what I was looking for.

My Background

I've officially been in the IT game since 2016, and I gotta say, I'm still loving every minute of it.

My educational background is a bit unconventional, but it's given me a unique set of skills and experiences that have served me well. In high school, I started off in science but eventually graduated in IT and Networking, which gave me a solid foundation in the field. I even had the opportunity to do an internship, which was my first taste of the working world.

After high school, I pursued my passion for coding and enrolled in an undergraduate programme for Game Development. Not being an artist whatsoever, I struggled a lot in the creative aspect with 3D modelling and game design, so after two years I decided to switch to the Computer and Cybercrime Professional programme, from which I'll be graduating in 2023. It's been an incredible journey, and I've learned so much about everything from Network Security to Cryptography.

In addition to my coursework, I've also had the opportunity to do an internship in my current degree programme. It was an amazing experience that helped me build my skills and see what it's like to work in the industry. Overall, I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've had to learn and grow, and I can't wait to see where my education takes me next.

My Hobbies

When I'm not working, you can usually find me playing League of Legends or New World.

I'm a total nerd when it comes to anything Tolkien related, and I love nothing more than discussing the masterpieces he created. I'm also a small time collector, my most prized possessions are Wētā Workshop's Hobbit Holes and Smaug.

I also enjoy crocheting, and I'm always on the lookout for new things to try.

So, that's a little bit about me. I'm excited to share my knowledge and experiences with you all, and I hope you'll stick around for the ride. If you have any questions or just want to say hi, feel free to drop me a line anytime on my socials below. Thanks for being here!

You've reached the end!

But fear not, here's a bunny to keep you company. 💕
